Trump won the White House in 2016 by a whisker. Fewer than 80,000 votes in three crucial states, including Wisconsin, handed him an Electoral College victory over Democrat Hillary Clinton.
Just this week, Wisconsin police are investigating how three trays of mail which included absentee ballots ended up in a ditch, after the mail was found at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning near a highway before it was immediately turned over to the US Postal Service, according to Fox 11.
This comes at a time when for millions of U.S. voters, the odds of their mail-in ballot counting this November could come down to where they are registered to vote and how workers in their local election office implement their state’s voting rules.
The pandemic is expected to drive record-high absentee turnout and slowed U.S. Postal Service deliveries this summer raised alarms about ballots arriving too late to be counted.
We are getting closer and closer to probably the most divisive election in US history and the signs are not good.
The Democrats and their subservient media are just stoking the fires of suspicion and distrust in our election process.
You may have encountered the establishment freak-out over President Trump’s “refusal to commit to a peaceful transition of power.” In answering a question on the matter at a Wednesday briefing, Trump said, “Well, we’re going to have to see what happens, you know that.”
If you cut the quote off there, sure, it’s alarming. But, of course, Trump continued, “I’ve been complaining very strongly about the ballots. And the ballots are a disaster.”
“Get rid of the ballots and there won’t be a transfer, frankly, there’ll be a continuation,” Trump added. “The ballots are out of control. You know it and you know who knows it better than anybody else? The Democrats know it better than anybody else.”
In the hands of the leftist corporate media, this turned into a spurt of breathless headlines and tweets claiming Trump’s answer amounted to a refusal to commit to a peaceful transfer of power. The president hardly said he would stage a military coup. He said ballot issues may prevent him from ceding the election.
The same media and political establishment stirring anxiety about Trump’s willingness to accept the election results are simultaneously doing the same. They’ve actually been doing it since 2016, when the election was “hacked.”
They are playing with fire. A recent USA Today poll found that 28 percent of Biden’s supporters say they aren’t prepared to accept a Trump victory as ‘fairly won,’ and 19 percent of Trump’s supporters say the same about a potential Biden victory.
Bottom line: A significant minority of American voters don’t believe the next election will be legitimate before it has even been conducted.
We have been set on an ugly path already and things are not going to get any better in the next few weeks. Patriot militias and radical leftist groups have already exchanged fire. We are sitting on a powder keg and the endless controversies surrounding the election are continuously burning the fuse.
